About Us

Training Link (TL) is a community learning centre in Somers Town in the London Borough of Camden, close to the British Library.

The organisation was initially established in 1985 to facilitate learning activities for women who had limited education and training. In 1998 the organisation re-registered, extending its services to both men and women.
Its client group are predominately people who have had limited access to main stream provision and who need help to move into the labour market.

In July 2010 we celebrated our 25th anniversary. Over 60 people, including Councillor Abdul Quadir, the Deputy Mayor of Camden and our local ward councillors. Councillor Quadir presented long service awards to people who have been volunteers, trustees and management committee members.

The main part of the evening was a forum on the future of the local community and voluntary sector. The speakers were Sarah Benioff, deputy director of the Office for Civil Society, Hayley Watts, director of Volunteer Centre Camden, Elizabeth Ajith, co-ordinator of the Sudan Women's Association, and Peter Lush, Training Link's director.
